Co-led successful effort to obtain ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 certifications. Created Quality System infrastructure with respect to document control, control of record, nonconforming material processing, and material inspection. Responsible for Document Control, Nonconforming Product, CAPAs, Complaints, Training, Calibration, Device History Records, System Labeling and Materials Control. Performed supplier and internal audits. Created wiring, cabling, manufacturing process, and bill of materials documentation for Biomarker Generator System. Initiated and managed outsourcing of cabling and electronic assemblies. Worked closely with Supply Chain Director to formulate and execute buy plans and product shipment documentation. Implemented traceability system to track consumable finished goods back through the production process to their constituent materials.

 

1/09 – 3/10 Control Systems Engineer/Bechtel Power, Knoxville, TN

 

Member of Bechtel Power Controls group responsible for rebuild of Watts Bar Unit 2 (WBN2) nuclear power plant, creating numerous design packages for control systems construction on WBN2. Led multidisciplinary meetings to negotiate consensus on design packages and helped management expedite others’ at-risk packages. Became a go-to person on the subject of design packages, helping coach and mentor junior engineers.

 

5/05 – 9/08 Manufacturing Engineer/Siemens Preclinical Solutions, Knoxville, TN

 

Created manufacturing documentation and performed manufacturing engineering for the small-animal PET, CT, SPECT and multimodality Inveon product line. Instrumental in securing ISO 9001 certification for Siemens Preclinical Solutions. Aided with the conversion of Preclinical Solutions from Macola inventory management to Oracle for supplier and inventory control, and Agile EDMS for all document control. Key member of integration team converting/transferring all Preclinical data in Agile to SAP.

Utilized proprietary Siemens database software to structure, store, create and maintain PET/CT technical documentation, converting documentation from Framemaker to XML-based format. Workgroup included contacts in Germany, Chicago and California.

Worked on electrical interfacing and created wiring diagrams for 16-slice and 6-slice PET/CTs. Successfully led detector electronics subassembly design team. Integral member of multidisciplinary team resolving component obsolescence issues.
